Using Legends

The series legend defines the colours or patterns used to represent the different data sets included on your chart. For example, invoice values are shown in green, credits in blue and balances in red. You can change the colours used for the series at any time, for details see the To Change a Colour in the Chart section.

The point legend gives the data shown from your x-axis. This generally this displays the months.

Series and point legends can be placed anywhere in the chart window.

You can set where you want your legend positioned on the chart and options for your legend, for details see To Set your Legend Position and Options.

The drag and drop colour or pattern features are available for legends, i.e. you can select a colour from the palette then drop it in any legend.
